Our Commitment to Accessibility

Anthology Inc. of NY (f/k/a Campus Labs, Inc.) (“Anthology,” “we,” “us,” or, “our”) believes that our software should be accessible to everyone, regardless of disability or impairment. It is our firm belief that an accessible application makes a usable application, and accessibility best practices and standards should be the foundations of great software. As websites and applications become more rich and complex, our dedication to ensuring accessible software becomes even more important. Suggestions for improving our accessibility solutions are always welcome and encouraged.

If part of the Anthology platform is found to be inaccessible, we will work diligently with the identifying institution to determine the severity and resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe.

Evaluation

VPAT
Colleges and universities also refer to the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) as the standard for assessing vendor accessibility. The VPAT outlines criteria of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. While there is certainly more to accessibility than supporting VPAT criteria, Anthology acknowledges the value in adhering to its standards.

WCAG 2.0
Anthology strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 A & AA as a basis for building accessible, rich applications. These guidelines tend to be more specifically suited to web applications compared to the standards set forth in the VPAT.

If part of the Anthology platform is found to be inaccessible, we will work diligently with the identifying institution to determine the severity and resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe.

Testing

Our development team makes testing a priority when it comes to screen-reader compatibility and VPAT/WCAG adherence. Prior to the regular releases of new features, Anthology developers and designers use many testing resources and tools to ensure we are doing our best to deploy usable, accessible software.

Qualitative Feedback
On occasion, a campus will choose to run a manual-accessibility audit on various components of the Anthology platform. Any findings are always documented, and concerns are addressed immediately. Anthology utilizes the consultation of accessibility experts to ensure that best practices are followed and emerging trends are observed. We have also established relationships with disability services offices at local universities to solicit qualitative feedback on new features or areas of high usage.

Anthology Inc. of Missouri (f/k/a iModules Software, Inc.) (“Anthology,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or, “our”) recognizes the importance of inclusiveness within a society, where inclusiveness means the ability for all to be engaged, to be involved, and to give back. This would not be possible without technology that is accessible to all parties within a community. To that end, Anthology is committed to ensuring that our software is accessible to all constituents regardless of their ability or disability. As an organization, we are investing in web accessibility and making it a core focus in the following ways:

  • Providing audience specific online and instructor-lead training for Anthology associates so that they are proficient in how their role impacts web accessibility on their respective domains
  • Engaging with third party consultants to audit our compliance status and receive guidance on proper remediation methods
  • Training, design, and professional services include web accessibility as a specific focus during client engagements

Through these efforts, Anthology strives to continually advance our ability to provide accessible technology. Upon request, Anthology is happy to provide upon request our voluntary product accessibility template (VPAT) that conveys the compliance status of Anthology software, and our accessibility roadmap showing our path to full compliance.
