What’s New in Anthology Student – August 2025
We’re thrilled to announce the 25.2.0 release for Anthology® Student, packed with powerful enhancements designed to streamline your operations, elevate the student experience, and bring more transparency and flexibility to your day-to-day workflows.
From cutting-edge AI to smarter academic tracking and financial aid enhancements, 25.2.0 is about helping your institution and students succeed.
Smarter Support with the New AI Product Guide
Meet your new sidekick: the AI Product Guide (Help AI), a generative AI assistant integrated right into the Anthology Student experience for Cloud customers.
Built on Azure OpenAI GPT-4o and Azure AI Services, this assistant is designed to provide on-demand, contextual help based on curated internal docs—no access to student or institutional data required.
Just ask Help AI your questions in natural language and get answers pulled from the help system and best practices documentation. It can even offer comparisons and recommendations in response to complex queries like, “Why should I use FAA instead of base financial aid?” or “What are the benefits of having Faculty Workload Management?”.
Key features:
- Opt-in from system settings to activate
- Sidecar-style chat launches from the main toolbar
- Seven-day chat history (easily clearable)
- Supports multilingual translation, content generation, and more
- Only one session per user to keep things clean and secure
This is just the beginning—we’re laying the groundwork for even deeper AI-powered support in the future.
Elective Pools and Requirement Rules
We're giving you more control and visibility when it comes to elective pools and requirement rules. The enhancements in this release help institutions enforce complex academic requirements with ease.
What's new:
- View pool conditions and fulfillment statuses with new “and/or” logic
- Automatic alerts when courses don’t meet pool criteria
- Enhanced grid actions for retakes, repeats, waivers, GPA thresholds, equivalencies, and more
- Build complex rules using flexible operators and custom condition
These updates bring greater clarity and customization to managing degree progress.
Reports That Speak Your Language: Now with Student Numbers
You asked—we listened. Based on Idea Exchange feedback (80+ votes!), we’ve added student numbers across key reports to ensure students are clearly identified—even when SSNs are hidden.
Reports updated:
- Career Services: Placement Salary
- Contact Manager: SEVIS Export
- Financial Aid: Pell Analysis, COD Grant Origination, and more
- Student Accounts: Aging, Revenue Summary, General Ledger Posting Detail, and more
- Student Services: Athletics Equity Report
…and more!
It’s a small change with a big impact on clarity and usability.
