Keep Employee Training Data Secure with Blackboard Learn

As organizations come to rely more and more on digital tools to manage their operations, data security has become an increasingly important issue. This is particularly true for organizations that handle sensitive information, such as employee data. Blackboard® Learn is a learning management system that has become a trusted solution for many organizations looking to keep their data safe.

Blackboard Learn is designed with security in mind, using a range of measures to protect data from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. These measures include encryption, multi-factor authentication, and regular security audits and assessments. In addition, Blackboard Learn is built to enable compliance with a range of privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, FERPA, and the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA).

One of the key benefits of Blackboard Learn SaaS is that it is compliant with a number of security standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001/27017/27018 and TX-RAMP. Blackboard Learn in Gov Cloud is also FedRAMP and StateRAMP authorized. These frameworks provide a set of guidelines and best practices for implementing effective security controls and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

FedRAMP is a program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment and authorization for cloud service providers that work with the federal government. This framework is designed to ensure that cloud-based solutions meet the rigorous security standards required by federal agencies, such as the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.

Similarly, StateRAMP is a program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment and authorization for cloud service providers based on the FedRAMP standards and framework. This framework is specifically designed for state and local governments, providing a streamlined process for assessing the security of cloud-based solutions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Finally, TX-RAMP is a program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment and authorization for cloud service providers in Texas. This framework was created to ensure that cloud-based solutions meet the unique security requirements of the state of Texas.

By adhering to these frameworks and standards, Blackboard Learn provides organizations with a secure and compliant solution for managing employee data. This includes ensuring that data is stored securely, encrypted both in transit and at rest, and protected from unauthorized access or modification.

Blackboard Learn provides a variety of tools and features to help organizations manage their data securely. This includes role-based access control, which ensures that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive data, as well as robust audit trails that allow organizations to track who has accessed or modified data and when.

Blackboard Learn is a secure and compliant solution for managing employee training data. By adhering to industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001/27017/27018, FedRAMP, and TX-RAMP, Blackboard Learn ensures that organizations can manage their data with confidence in its security, while also providing a robust set of tools and features to support effective data management. In addition, we are targeted to achieve our P-ATO for IL4 in December of 2023, so stay tuned for continued updates.
