Anthology Ally Achieves TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification

It’s now even easier for Texas institutions to bring Anthology® Ally to their campuses. We’re excited to share that Anthology Ally has officially achieved TX-RAMP Level 2 certification. As the latest solution in our portfolio to earn the distinction, this certification for Ally further reinforces our commitment to accessibility, convenience, and trust.

We heard from institutions across Texas that although Ally doesn’t process confidential information, this certification was an important step in simplifying their procurement processes and helping them bring this powerful technology to learners faster. Now, they can adopt a trusted accessibility solution and make content more inclusive for all learners with less red tape and more confidence.

TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification validates that Anthology Ally meets the rigorous security standards established by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR). This certifies that student information and educational data remain protected according to state-mandated requirements and remains protected. It’s not just about checking a box—it’s about clearing a path.

“Anthology Ally already had a strong security baseline and continues to be certified to 4 ISO standards, so earning TX-RAMP Level 2 certification shows our commitment to meeting and exceeding security requirements for our customers. It is really a by-product of what we see as our responsibility to protect customer data, and making it easier to bring innovative and important technologies to instructors and learners world-wide.”

Richie Rodriguez, CISO, Anthology

The TX-RAMP Level 2 certification delivers several immediate benefits:

Simplified Compliance: TX-RAMP provides a clear and consistent framework for cloud service providers to demonstrate compliance, making it easier for Texas state agencies to select suitable services.

Enhanced Data Protection: Level 2 certification confirms Ally's robust security controls for handling institutional information, with comprehensive measures protecting that information as well as accessibility data.

Government and Education Cross-Compatibility: This certification extends beyond educational settings to qualify Ally for use in Texas government agencies, supporting institutions with joint education-government initiatives.

With security and accessibility working hand-in-hand, Anthology Ally offers Texas institutions the confidence that their accessibility solution is built on a foundation of enterprise-grade security. This certification represents our ongoing investment in the Texas education market and our dedication to supporting accessible, secure learning environments.

TX-RAMP authorization is a natural next step as part of the trust and confidence placed in Ally by all of our Texas customers—and it removes many procurement hurdles that were slowing down institutions from implementing the accessibility tools students need. This helps these customers move fast towards making learning materials accessible for everyone. That's what gets us excited at Anthology—when we can clear away barriers and do more good for all students. That’s what this work is all about.
