This page provides the current list of Service Providers (Sub-processors) (as defined in our Data Processing Addendum, DPA) that Anthology engages to help us provide services to our clients and which may have access to Personal Information of our clients. The list is split into the following sections:

1. Product-specific service providers
2. Service providers supporting products and clients generally
3. Third parties whose products Anthology resells
4. Channel partners (providing support or services)
5. Partners deemed as Sub-processors for limited set of processing
6. Anthology Group Sub-processors

Please note: This list includes all Service Providers we use for our clients globally, not just Service Providers who may have access to client data that is in scope of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure we can help our clients globally with their obligations under local data privacy laws.

Our commitments regarding Service Providers

All of the Service Providers listed below have a legitimate need to access Personal Information of our clients in order to provide their service to Anthology as a part of Anthology’s provision of the services to our clients. With regard to Service Providers, we will:

• Conduct due diligence on the data privacy and security measures of new Service Providers before providing access to Personal Information;
• Enter into a written agreement which requires at least the same level of protection for Personal Information and individuals as set out in our standard DPA before providing access to Personal Information;
• Restrict the Service Provider’s access to Personal Information only to what is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations or as otherwise permitted under the agreements with our clients or under Applicable Data Privacy Laws; and
• Remain liable for any processing of Personal Information carried out by Service Providers to the same extent we would be liable if performing the services ourselves.

Service providers supporting products and clients generally

These service providers are product-independent and as such support Anthology across products and may require access to Personal Information of our clients.

Third Parties Whose Products Anthology Resells

These third parties are only applicable to clients who have specifically purchased the relevant third-party services through Anthology. When Anthology resells a product of a third party, we consider that third party our Sub-processor.

Channel Partners

A channel partner will only have access to Personal Information of your institution if your institution is supported by the channel partner. This is generally restricted to client support-related information and client relationship-related information (e.g., support ticket information, invoicing information).

Partners deemed as Sub-Processors for limited set of processing

The listed third parties are considered Sub-processors for a limited use case/set of processing and only apply if a client and/or their users receive services of the third party.

The relevant Anthology group entities that may have access to client personal information have been added.
