Communications pack: Engage your campus in the competition
The Fix Your Content Day 2025 Communications Pack contains messaging templates, graphics, and strategies to help you drive participation across your campus. During this 24-hour competition, the goal is simple: rally your campus to fix as many digital course files as they can using Anthology® Ally.
Note: To be counted in the competition, fixes must be made through the Ally user interface.
Strategies for organizing your campus
- Make it social: Host a “Fix-a-Thon” via web conference or in-person session. Work on accessibility fixes together, answer questions, and celebrate progress in real time.
- Launch a communications campaign: Send a mass email or post announcements in your LMS about your participation in Fix Your Content Day. Use the templates included in this communications pack to spread the word.
-
Keep it simple: Encourage participants to start with easy fixes, such as:
- Adding alt text to images directly through Ally
- Fixing heading issues in Microsoft Word documents (the syllabus is a great place to start)
- Replacing scanned PDFs with OCR versions generated from Ally’s alternative formats
- Involve everyone on campus: Ally isn’t just for course content. Invite marketing, web, or administrative teams to upload commonly shared documents into course shells, check Ally’s feedback, and make fixes that benefit the entire campus community.
- Create friendly campus competition: See which department can contribute the most fixes to Ally and award the winning department a small prize or recognition. The Anthology Ally team can work with you to determine the best fixes for each department.
- Share great stories: Our website has a number of great Ally customer success stories to share with your campus—reference them to showcase how accessibility improvements positively impact learners. You can download and use them as part of your outreach and support.
