From Site to Shining Site: A View of Some of the Best K-12 Websites from Where I Sit
Think about how many websites you visit in a day. How many of them stop you in your tracks because of their thoughtful design, full screen streaming video homepages, and purposeful layout?
My guess is not many. If any at all.
As part of the Blackboard marketing team, I get to see all our client’s sites, so I have a different perspective on this experience. Those moments where I’m struck by a stunning website happen ALL THE TIME. Visiting our clients’ websites never disappoints.
We’ve come a long way from what websites were even a few years ago. A place to just put information has transformed into the home base for districts to let their brand take center stage. And what better location? Prospective families and staff moving to the area will Google your district and your first impression is your website. But this isn’t news to any of you. You are pros at marketing your district and know how important your website is.
So, from one marketer to another, what I can offer you is insight into my running list of show stopping district websites so you can see and experience the best of the best for yourself. My full list is too big to share in one post so here are a just handful of my favorites from across the country. Take a look and maybe even steal an idea or two. And tell us your favorites by tagging us on Twitter @Blackboardk12 – I’m ready to expand my list!
