Regular and Substantive Data Dashboard: Engagement Checkup at Your Fingertips
Justin Louder, Associate Vice President for Academic Innovation, Anthology
Pamela Holt, Dean, Online Learning, Milwaukee Area Technical College
The Department of Education requires proof of faculty and student engagement for online instruction, described as meaningful communication on a regular basis. In online courses this could mean the active use of discussion boards, online office hours, and other interactions. This information is difficult to verify especially when the institution is large. Wouldn’t it be great to have this information at your fingertips? Anthology has created a dashboard with this information and much more so that leaders and others can validate engagement for individuals, at the course level, and major or program level.
The “New” Congressional eLearning Caucus
Darcy Hardy, Associate VP for Academic Affairs, Director, Anthology Education and Research Center, Anthology
Rob Robinson, Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives, Associate Director, Anthology Education and Research Center, Anthology
The bipartisan Congressional eLearning Caucus was originally established in 2011 by then-Representatives Jared Polis (D-CO) and Kristi Noem (R-SD), who are now both governors in their respective states. Over a decade later, the Anthology Education and Research Center conducted research to identify two current Representatives who could co-sponsor a relaunch of the Caucus. Representatives Alma Adams (D-NC) and Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA) agreed to co-sponsor, and the "new" Caucus was recently launched. The timing of this Caucus is significant for many reasons, particularly following the pandemic. The Center is honored to be a part of this initiative. Attend this session to learn more about the Caucus, its objectives, and its plans for upcoming public meetings.

Women have made great strides in leadership roles, but we continue to be challenged by getting our rightful seats at the table and, of course, trying to create work-life balance. On top of this, many women try (or feel obligated) to be a superwoman, perfect in an imperfect world. We tend not to give ourselves grace when we need it most. This session will include women leaders who have been there, done that, and who will share their personal stories – the ups and downs, wins and losses, pain and glory. They have navigated societal expectations while being brave enough to set their own standards. The panel will suggest ways to promote yourself without losing your truth, strengthen and accept your identity, and be a high-performing leader perfectly content in your skin.
