Getting Familiar with Learn REST APIs
In this session, we shared the basics of developing a REST Application for Blackboard® Learn and walked through the process of writing a simple application to manage course enrollments, demonstrating use of the APIs using Python. You will walk away with an in-depth understanding of how to get started, including how to find and use our documentation, how to use our developer portal to register your REST Application, a high-level understanding of the difference between using two-legged and three-legged OAuth 2, the options available when deploying a Learn REST integration, and setting a Learn user for the integration with a System Role that has the necessary privileges.
This webinar series is intended for members of the Blackboard Learn Developer Community who are looking to or have already started converting existing B2s to REST applications. This webinar should be useful for those who are looking to create entirely new integrations with Blackboard Learn as well.
The intended audience here is one of a more technical nature and who are just beginning their journey to integration with Blackboard Learn. We intend to cover more advanced topics as the series progresses, and will use earlier topics to cover baseline information we want everyone in the community to have absorbed.
